Students in South Korea and the surrounding area returned to schools to resume their face-to-face education today, Monday, amid the slowdown in the outbreak of Coronavirus.

(Yonhap) News Agency stated that decision of the return of students to schools in Seoul and the surrounding areas is scheduled to remain valid until next October 11.

The South Korean Ministry of Education said that it will closely monitor the situation until the second week of October to make a decision on reopening schools in the country in general.

South Korea’s capital Seoul has banned eating and drinking at food trucks and street stalls across the capital after 9 p.m to curb the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Meanwhile, the country has taken a set of tougher social distancing restrictions to affect the daily lives of residents in Seoul and nearby areas.

Moreover, the government has prohibited eating at franchise bakeries and ice cream shops.

Earlier, South Korea extended the so-called Level 2.5 alert against COVID-19 transmissions through this weekend, as it was struggling to bring a new wave of cluster infections under control.
