After the death of the legendary Sean Connery, reports re-examine his less-celebrated films, in addition to searching for his unknown films in the dusty archives.

The Russian Sputnik news reported that Connery has participated in a film starring the Arabic iconic artist Soaad Hosny, and the international Egyptian actor Abdallah Ghayth.

Entitled "Why Afghanistan", the film is produced in 1986 by Morrocan producers and it was directed by Abdallah Misbahi.

In 2013, Misbahi declared that the film is ready for screening and many updates have occurred in the storyboard on the occasion of the latest witnessed events.

The film revolves around the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in a contemporary way combining the beauty of the image and the anonymity of the symbol.

Unfortunately, in 2016, the Morrocan Cinema Center canceled the required permissions of the film production and prevented it from screening to the public till now.

"Why Afghanistan" is considered the only international role Hosny played in her shining bright career.
