Somaya ElKhashab is fighting against fat-shaming

On Sunday, renowned actress Somaya ElKhashab spoke out and stood up for herself (and all women) in the face of Fat shaming.

The beautiful actress opened up about being fat-shamed while appearing in some movies.

In response to social media attacks about the weight she gained during her illness, she fired back on Twitter, posting a statement that read," Jokes, comments about weight gain, and online bullying for Overweight persons all fall under the tasteless domain of all that encompasses "Fat-shaming" — and it happens even more often than people may think."

ElKhashab wrote to "put an end" to fat-shaming by positively commenting on qualities unrelated to appearance.

In her latest Tweets, the renowned actress also addressed the issue of fat-shaming and said that nobody should be on the receiving end of it. She added, "I wrote that because, at the time, I’d gained some weight and the pressure that people put you under, the pressure to be thin, is unbelievable."

In the early-2000s, ElKhashab’s weight has been a subject of contention for Fat-shamers everywhere.

Also in this regard, the gorgeous star has experienced repeated fat-shaming throughout her career.
