On Tuesday, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, asserted that all Egyptian football fans are enraged and it is natural as football is among the top favorite topics of the Egyptian people and their common interest.
Sobhy said during a phone interview with the iconic Ahmed Shober that the ministry recommended keeping Carlos Queiroz in his position as a coach for the national team.
He added that the current board of directors of EFA won't resign after Egypt's exit from AFCON, continuing that the upcoming elections of EFA will take place in the final quarter of 2024. He asserted that there is no need to hurry to make decisions.
On the position of Vitoria, Sobhy highlighted that all options are possible, including sacking Vitoria, and the return of Queiroz.
