Al Ahly's club doctor Khaled Mahmoud announced Monday that the Red Devils' winger Ramadan Sobhi would miss the upcoming Egyptian Premier League encounter  against Pyramids.

The Red Devils are set to clash against Pyramids on Thursday in the sixteenth round of the Egyptian League.

"We are waiting for the result of the medical examination on Sobhi, but he would be ruled out of Pyramids' clash," Mahmoud said in statements to Journalists.

Since December 18, Sobhi was ruled out of Al Ahly's squad for six weeks due to a muscular injury.

Last summer, the Red Devils' management renewed Sobhi's loan deal for another one season from the English side Huddersfield.

The 22-year-old talented player delivered an outstanding performance with the Pharaohs' U-23 national team as he guided them to claim the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as, advancing to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Al Ahly are enjoying 4 points lead at the top of the Egyptian League.

It is worth mentioning that the Red Devils had qualified for the quarter-final of the CAF Champions League as Group B runner-up after holding a dramatic 1-1 draw against Sudan's Al Hilal following a tough game.

The eight-time African Champions are set to clash against one of the following clubs; TP Mazembe, Mamelodi Sundowns or Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
