On Tuesday, the Slovenian government announced that it had expelled 33 Russian diplomats after bodies were found in the Ukrainian town of Bucha, where Kyiv has accused Russian forces of a massacre.

The foreign ministry said earlier that it had summoned the Russian ambassador, Timur Ejvazov, to express Slovenia’s “shock over the killing of Ukrainian civilians in Bucha and other towns that were liberated from the Russian aggressor forces” and to inform him that the number of Russian diplomats in the country would be reduced.

A spokeswoman later confirmed to AFP that the number of diplomats being expelled was 33.

Earlier on Sunday, April 3, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry stated that they had found 410 bodies of slain Ukrainians in Bucha, Irpin and other towns and villages during the first two days since Russia initiated attacks in these regions. The Defense Ministry added that the exact number of victims of the Russian armed forces “will be much higher”. On Sunday, April 3rd, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba released images of the horrors caused by retreating Russian armed forces in Bucha city.
