Sisi Vows to Support Libyans to Restore Security, Stability

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the results of his recent visit to Libya at the head of a high-level ministerial delegation, during his meeting with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi today, Thursday.

For his part, Sisi asked to harness the Egyptian capabilities and to provide all possible assistance to support the Libyan brothers in all fields, and to increase the opportunities for cooperation available between the two brotherly countries, in order to help improve economic conditions, achieve security and stability, and support the implementation of the agreed roadmap until the elections in December Next.

The Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady stated that Madbouly reviewed the various files and topics that were discussed with the Libyan side, including the agreement on the reopening of the Egyptian diplomatic missions in Libya in Tripoli and Bani Ghazi as soon as possible.

He also tackled the urgent measures for the return of Egyptian workers to Libya, as well as facilitating movement between the two countries, as it was agreed in this regard on the speed of setting controls and special frameworks to regulate the status of Egyptian workers and the priority areas for work in them, in addition to the use of Egyptian companies, especially in the sectors of electricity, infrastructure, housing and transportation, in order to implement the various projects scheduled to be launched during the coming period in Libya.

Madbouly also pointed out to the agreement resulting from the visit to set a date for the resumption of the work of the Joint Egyptian-Libyan Higher Committee during the coming weeks, for the first time after its suspension since 2009.
