Sisi orders continuing studies on developing transport logistic network

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered on Monday to resume studying the strategic plan aiming at enhancing transport logistic network in Egypt, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

This came during Sisi’s meeting with Transportation Minister Hisham Arafat, Head of Suez Canal authority Mohab Mamish and Head of Administrative Control Authority Mohamed Erfan.

The president also directed all authorities concerned to benefit from models in this field as well as setting up a plan and implement it according to a certain timetable.

During the meeting, Sisi noted the importance of developing transportation means in fulfilling the economic development plan. He added that the plan aims at transforming Egypt into an international hub for transportation industry and logistics.

The president added that the plan includes developing railways and land and river ports as well as introducing new laws and amending older ones in order to implement the national plan.
