Sisi Receives Written Message from Saudi King Salman

On Thursday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Saud Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Issam bin Saeed, in the presence of Minister Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence Service, and Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali, according to the Egyptian Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady.

In a statement, the spokesman said that Saudi Minister of State, during the meeting, handed president Sisi a message from the Saudi King affirming deep and historic relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

According to the message, the Saudi King re-affirmed the strength of historical ties between the brotherly two countries and their peoples, expressing his kingdom’s keenness to enhance strategic cooperation and continued coordination with Egypt on regional and international affairs.

The relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia are distinguished with their strong ties as both enjoy a sublime position on the Arab and international scales. King Abdul Aziz Al Saud realized the importance of the Egyptian-Saudi relations and he said: “Arabs are in need of Egypt and Egypt is in need of Arabs.”

The Egyptian-Saudi Relations Strategy:

Egypt and Saudi Arabia enjoy very distinguished relations due to their sublime position and incredible potentials. This position has provided the two countries with key influential capabilities in their foreign relations.

On the Arab level, history proves that Cairo and Riyadh are the two poles of relations and interacts in the Arab regional system. They shoulder a big responsibility to realize Arab solidarity and achieve the aspired goals for Arab nations from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf. The strong Egyptian-Saudi relations served all Arab countries, as reflected in the War of October 1973.
