Sisi Receives AU’s Fakih in Aswan: Bassam Rady

CAIRO, March 17 (SEE) - President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Sunday morning the Chairman of the Commission of the African Union (AU) Moussa Fakih Mohamed, on the sideline of the Arab and African Youth Platform, according to Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The Arab and African Youth Platform is currently held in Aswan, Upper Egypt, which Sisi called it the Capital City of Africa Continent.

President Sisi dubbed Aswan the capital of African youth in the closing session of the second edition of the World Youth Forum that took place in Sharm El Sheikh in November where he announced the launch of the current event.

The first edition of the Arab and African Youth Platform having as participants 1,500 youths kicked off on Saturday in Aswan under the auspices of Sisi and will conclude on Monday.

The agenda includes panel and roundtable discussions on Arab and African challenges having as participants youth leaders and decision makers.

That is in addition to a number of cultural and entertainment activities.
