Sisi Partakes in WYF Peace Marathon (Photos)

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi partcipated earlier Tuesday in an international peace marathon, on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum (WYF), currently taking place in Sharm Al-Sheikh city, according to Presidency spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

Many participants in the forum took part in the bikes marathon.

Following the marathon, Sisi was keen to take photos with a number of young people in front of the peace icon memorial.

More than 7,000 youth from the world countries take part in the forum that will wrap up its activities today evening.

It is worth mentioning that, the four-day event kicked off on Saturday in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh under the auspices of President Sisi.

The third edition of the forum tackled many key subjects including the sources of energy in the Mediterranean, food security in Africa, climate change, international security and fighting terrorism.

According to the forum’s schedule included 24 sessions and 14 workshops to mainly discuss the prospects for sustainable development in Africa, challenges facing creative work in the age of technology, in addition to the energy sector in the Mediterranean countries.

The WYF is an annual global forum held in Sharm el-Sheikh in South Sinai.

First held in November 2017, it gathered youth globally, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures.
