On Monday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened Egypt's 1st "Go Green" exhibition, highlighting the conversion of vehicles to clean energy and replacement technologies, according to Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.

The two-day event will end on January 6.

Rady added that the exhibition, held under the auspices of the President, will witness the launch of the initiative to convert vehicles to operate on natural gas, with the participation of government agencies as well as local and international companies specialized in this field.

The exhibition aims to introduce the financing mechanisms available within the framework of this initiative as well as highlighting the economic and environmental benefits of depending on natural gas instead of conventional fuel.

Moreover, the spokesman added that President Sisi will inspect the exhibition pavilions and halls dedicated to the institutions and government agencies responsible for the implementation of this initiative, as well as the pavilions of specialized international companies exhibiting models of gas-powered cars or those modified.

The exhibition will also review the latest developments in that industry, especially with regard to addressing all concerns and questions related to converting cars to run on gas energy.

In accordance with the president's directives, an entire pavilion has been allocated to ministries, banks, and insurance companies to deal with citizens wishing to benefit from the initiative and to guide them towards the necessary steps and conditions, according to Rady.
