President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrived in the German city of Berlin today, Sunday at the invitation of German Chancellor “Olaf Schulz” to participate in the activities of the “Petersburg Climate Dialogue” tomorrow, Monday, July 18, under the co-chairmanship of Egypt and Germany.
Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the "Petersburg Dialogue" is one of the important stations ahead of the next session of the global climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh next November, because it represents an opportunity for consultation and coordination among a large group of active countries on the efforts of confronting climate change.
"Egypt's co-chairmanship of this important forum represents an appreciation of its vital role ,under the leadership of the President, in the framework of climate change negotiations over the past years, " Rady added.
During this visit, the president will meet a number of German officials including German Chancellor "Olaf Schulz", to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations at all levels, within the framework of the two countries' keenness to strengthen cooperation and continue intensive consultation on issues of common interest.
