Sisi Calls on Serbian Businessmen to Participate in Egypt's Projects

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting on Wednesday, with a group of businessmen in Serbia, on the sidelines of "Egypt - Serbia" business forum.

During the meeting, Sisi called on Serbian businessmen to participate in national projects in Egypt, especially in the field of ports.

He stressed that Egypt enjoys promising investment opportunities, poiting out to the notable achievements, made in infrastructure field.

Moreover, Sisi said that Egypt's infrastructure witnessed great development, over the last seven years, with the implementation of about 6,000 projects at EGP 8 trillion.

On Tuesday, Serbian MIG-29 fighter jets escorted Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s aircraft upon entering Serbian airspace until landing at Belgrade Airport.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received El-Sisi at the airport, according to a separate statement by presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

The visit comes within the context of the historical relations between the two countries, the spokesman said.

The visit witnesses intensive negotiations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament “to explore mechanisms to enhance political and economic relations between the two countries and ways to foster closer cooperation and coordination on the regional and international levels.

The President is also set to deliver a speech at Belgrade University focusing on bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening ties. Furthermore, the speech will shed light on the outlines of Egyptian policy regarding the most important regional and international issues.
