Shoukry to Receive Cypriot Counterpart Tomorrow

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will receive, on Thursday, Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, to hold a session of talks at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On Wednesday,  Shoukry expressed appreciation, on Wednesday, for the consultations that took place with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa, as these consultations were culminated in the meetings of the joint committee between the two countries .

He stressed that the talks session touched on a number of files of common interest.

Shoukry affirmed Egypt’s keenness and commitment to work under the umbrella of the African Union.

The foreign Minister also indicated that Egypt always stresses its interest, readiness, and affirmation of its desire to reach a binding legal agreement in accordance with the rules of international law and through negotiations and a peaceful solution that meet the interests of all sides and achieve the peoples’ desire for development and a decent life, while taking into account the preservation of Egypt’s and Sudan’s water security as Cairo is completely depends on the Nile in its water resources.
