Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that Egypt is working with the United States of America to establish security and stability in the Middle East region, pointing out that the situation in the Middle East, specifically the Palestinian issue was discussee during his talks with his US counterpart Anthony Blinken this morning, as they stressed the importance of preventing any kind of escalation, finding a political framework and resolving the issue on the principle of the two-state solution.
In a joint press conference with his US counterpart, the Foreign Minister added that the talks touched on the file of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the joint work to preserve all parties' rights and reach an agreement on a legal basis, explaining that the talks also addressed the situation in Libya and Sudan and the importance of the joint action to face all challenges and overcome them.
