Shoukry, Speaker of Moroccan House of Councilors Discuss Parliamentary Work Mechanisms

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met, on Tuesday, Naam Mayara, Speaker of the Moroccan House of Councilors, to discuss the role of Arab parliaments in strengthening joint cooperation frameworks, as well as addressing the development of parliamentary work mechanisms between Egypt and Morocco.

They also discussed the intensification of bilateral visits between legislative institutions in the two countries, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez, said on "Twitter".

Earlier, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met, on Tuesday, with Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami on the sidelines of his current visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez, said on Twitter.

Shoukry affirmed Egypt’s keen in pushing forward various frameworks of parliamentary diplomacy between the two brotherly countries, and enhancing cooperation between legislative institutions, for developing bilateral relations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, is paying a visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, during which he held in-depth discussions with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita.

The two ministers reviewed – according to a joint statement issued by the Egyptian and Moroccan foreign ministries – ways to strengthen bilateral relations, based on the directives of the leaders of the two countries
