Minister of foreign affairs Sameh Shoukry received on Wednesday the Russian climate envoy and the Turkish deputy environment minister.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained that the two meetings come within the framework of the keenness of the heads of the negotiating delegations of some countries to meet with Shoukry, to confirm their commitment to supporting the goals and success of the conference, as well as the keenness of Shoukry to communicate directly with the delegations to know their views on issues and topics on its agenda.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman added that the Russian and Turkish officials praised the good organizational preparation for the conference, expressing their keenness to adopt constructive positions in a way that contributes to its success to come out with the desired results that enhance the work of the international climate action at various levels.
