Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry received, on Monday, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister (FM) Adil Tursunov, at the ministry headquarters in Cairo.
Last February, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call Thursday from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest.
“Sisi and Tokayev exchanged visions and views on regional files and some issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The two leaders also discussed mutual investment opportunities and maximizing the volume of trade exchange, in addition to cooperation in the sectors of health, agriculture, tourism, and culture, as well as coordination and exchange of information between the concerned agencies.
The president stressed the distinctiveness of the Egyptian-Kazakh relations, and Egypt’s keenness to strengthen the mechanisms of joint cooperation between the two countries at various levels to achieve the common interests of the two friendly peoples.
On his part, the Kazakh president expressed his country’s pride in the close and constructive cooperation relations it has with Egypt, especially in light of Egypt’s distinguished position and regional weight in its geographical surroundings.
He also stressed Kazakhstan’s mutual interest in strengthening the process of joint cooperation between the two countries.
