Zamalek's maven player Shikabala will return to Egypt’s squad list for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), according to reports published on Friday.

The national football team coach Hossam El-Badry interviewed at Elberimo confirmed these reports.

Shikabala hasn’t played for the national team since 2018 when Mexican coach Javier Aguirre decided to keep him away from the team following his well-known personal issue with fans.

The talented winger could form a very appealing and entertaining offensive line with Salah and, making Egypt one of the favorites to conquer Africa.

He’s been one of Zamalek's most notable players since Mostafa Mohamed’s departure, showing great leadership skills, and definitely deserves to be on the list.

Notably, the maven coach made his analysis regarding the players who give him the necessary tactical flexibility.

On the other hand, Shikabala is 35 years old and it will be very interesting to see if he can keep his good form so that he is able to represent his country in the 2022 FIFA World Cup as well.
