Sherine Nearly Done With New Album

Egyptian superstar, Sherine Abdel-Wahab, known famously as Sherine, is nearing the completion of the recording process for her new album, which is set to be released in 2020.

Sherine is working these days inside a studio with her husband Hossam Habib and distributor Ahmed Ibrahim to finish the songs of her new album.

Ibrahim is collaborating with the Egyptian superstar in more than one song.

On the other hand, Sherine is scheduled to team up with Tunisian superstar Saber Rebaï live on New Year’s Eve at Grand Nile Tower Hotel, Egypt, on December 31st.

Moreover, the superstar is also set to star in her new movie, which currently remains untitled.

The movie – written by Poet Amir Teima– witnesses her comeback to the big screen after 16 years of absence.

It will be Teima’s second experience as a screenwriter after movie “El-Mamar” (The Passage), which achieved tremendous success during its premiere.

Actors from Egypt and the Arab world will go for audition after the movie contract with a major director in the movie.

It would be a musical genre and is scheduled to start shooting its first scenes in early 2020.

Sherine made her acting debut in 2003, co-starring in prominent actor Ahmed Helmy’s film “Medo Mashakil” (Medo is trouble).

In 2015, she co-starred in her first leading role in a TV series “Tariqi” (My Way), which achieved great success during its premiere in Ramadan.

The 39-year-old superstar is currently busy with the preparations for her new album, which she has finished recording several songs from it.

Sherine’s last released album is “Nassay”, which was released on October 24, 2018. It included 12 songs.

Noteworthy, Sherine Sayed Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, known as Sherine Abdel-Wahab and as Sherine, was born on October 10, 1980.

Sherine’s talent was first discovered as a child by her music teacher at school, who convinced her mother to take her to the Cairo Opera House to meet veteran musician Selim Sahab.

She auditioned in front of him, who liked her voice a lot. The singer had served as a choral member at the Cairo Opera House from the age of nine to twelve, and then she was given a chance to become a solo singer.

Sherine kept performing at the Cairo Opera House while looking for a music producer to launch her professional career.

She was introduced at the age of 18 to director and music producer Nasr Mahrous, who he liked her talented voice and decided to collaborate with her via “Free Music” production company, where she met with superstar, Tamer Hosny, a who was also a new talent seeking an opportunity.

In 2002, Sherine’s first recorded song released as a part of the album that included works of other artists.

The album was released, by the title “Free Mix3: Tamer and Sherine” and was a big hit all across the entire Middle East and North Africa. The album sold more than 20 Million copies all across the whole MENA.

It was a big hit particularly because of her single song called “Ah ya Leil”, which boosted her fame.

In early 2000, she made a duet song called “Bahebak” with Mohamed Mohy, which achieved great success and boosted her fame.

That album was followed by “Garrh Tanee” which was released in 2003 and boosted her continues success.

The 38-year-old superstar is considered as one of Egypt’s and Middle East’s most talented voices.
