Mohamed Sheriff netted twice to lead Al Ahly to a 2-1 win over Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League to win Cairo's derby.

Sheriff had opened the scoring in the 21st minute, when he received a well-played pass from Aymen Ashraf to fire a right-foot shot from the right side of the box into the right corner.

Shikabal netted the equaliser for the White Knights in the 32nd minute when he made a nice move before unleashing a powerful shot into the right corner.

One minute later, Mohamed Sheriff put Al Ahly ahead by firing a left-foot shot from the outside of the corner to left corner.

Referee Mahmoud El Banaa gave Zamalek a penalty due to a foul on Seif El Din El Geziri after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), but Mahmoud Alaa wasted it.
