Shereen Reda: I Will Never Participate in Ramadan Drama Marathon Again

Egyptian actress Shereen Reda shared her decision to never participate in the Ramadan drama marathon again.

In a statement on Monday, Reda noted that she suffered during the filming of her latest series that was screened last Ramadan because of the long shooting hours and the pressure during filming.

“Ramadan series is very taxing. I learned that I will never do this to myself again nor will I partake in this experience again," she added.

The actress recounted her recent experience, saying: “We were filming in Ramadan for 35 hours straight which was very exhausting, and after we would work on cinematic productions after we finish Ramadan."

Reda participated last Ramadan in the TV series “Shoghl Fi Al Ali”, starring Fifi Abdou.

The series centered around two women united by bad luck and failed marriages. They decide to form a gang and take revenge on men, but when they’re faced with a surprise their newfound friendship is put to test.

It is scripted by Hussein Mostafa Moharram and directed by Morcous Adel.

Reda is slated to star in the film "The Adventures of Coco", which is scheduled to be premuire in the coming period.

It also stars Bayoumi Fouad, Khaled El-Sawy, Menna Fadali, Ehab Fahmy, Mohamed Osama, Nancy Salah, and others.

The work is a penned by Ehab Nasser and directed by Ismail Farouk.
