Cairo Criminal Court headed by counselor Hesham Abdul Magid decided on Sunday to sentence Sexual harasser Ahmed Bassam Zaki, who is charged with indecent assault against three girls, to eight years in prison with hard labor.

The session was held with memberships of Advisors Adel al-Ghawet and Osama Mohamed Abu Safy, and the secretariats of Ahmed Fahmy and Mahmoud Abdel Rashid.

Last July, Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hamada El Sawy ordered the detention of Zaki for four days over pending investigations.

Zaki is accused of sexually assaulting three girls, one of whom is less than 18 years old, according to a statement released by the Prosecutor General’s office.

Zaki blackmailed his three victims along with others into committing indecent acts with him.

He also kept stalking his victims through phone calls and text messages to coerce them into committing these acts with him without their consent, the statement added.

The statement pointed out that the Prosecutor General asked four girls and a child who submitted reports against the guy and said that they used to know Zaki from 2016 till the beginning of 2019.

Zaki endeavored to have close relationships with the girls and asked them for hangouts. Then he sexually assaulted them at his residence, but they managed to escape from him.

The sexual predator blackmailed the girls by their nudes to force them to have sex with him. The girls were afraid of informing their families about what happened with Zaki.

The defendant confessed that he saved nudes from six girls he knew from one of the social media platforms. He threatened the girls to send these nudes to the girls’ families after they went to break up with him.
