Selena Gomez to Star in Petra Collins’ "Spiral"

American singer-actress Selena Gomez will star in a new thriller movie "Spiral", directed by Petra Collins.

Drake will executive produce the movie with Future the Prince aka Adel Nur, who exec produces HBO’s Euphoria with him. Matthew Budman and Sumaiya Kaveh are also producing through their Forest Hill Entertainment.

The plot follows a former influencer whose addiction to social media is causing her body to literally fall apart.

Phoebe Fisher penned the most recent version with Collins and Melissa Broder penning a previous draft.

Gomez has a number of other projects lined up, including returning to voice Mavis in Sony Animation’s "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania".

She also returns to the small screen with her role in the Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building", which also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Gomez most recently finished filming the Hulu series which centers around a trio of web sleuths obsessed with true crime who become wrapped up in a crime themselves.

She is also set to star in the upcoming drama "In the Shadow of the Mountain".
