After a fierce competition, Hany Younes has been named as the Best Spokesperson in 2019. A one-day-poll was carried out on SEENews social media platforms; Facebook and Twitter.

The voting has just ended a few minutes ago; giving the lead to the Cabinet’s Media Advisor Hany Younes.

SEENews Poll

Younes obtained more than 2400 votes out of 4000; with 68 per cent. Four well-known figures were competing over SEENews Best Spokesperson in 2019 Award.

The poll was published on Monday and ended in the New Year Eve 2020.

Accordingly, only four hours before farewelling 2019, SEENews is acting as dear Santa and announced that the award goes to Younes for his fabulous performance as a media advisor in the way that gives the same influence and outcomes of being an official spokesperson.

SEENew wishes him the best of luck in 2020.

Here are some reasons why Younes was shortlisted at the first place by our staff.

Younes was the media spokesman of former Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab from March 2014 until September 2015.

After Mahlab resigned his post, Younes returned back to the Housing Ministry where he had been acting as the official spokesperson of the ministry.

In 2015, Younes was chosen as the best official spokesperson in Egypt.

When Dr. Mostafa Madbouli assumed his office as Egypt’s premier mid 2018, Younes was reassigned to be the media advisor of the Cabinet.

Since then, Younes has been communicating intensively with the public and the concerned authorities to be a liaison between the public and the government.

His Facebook account is being followed by thousands of citizens. His account has become a mirror in which the public is watching the cabinet’s work.

It’s noteworthy that SEENews’s Spokesperson of the Year 2019 Shortlist included:

  • Hany Younes, the Cabinet’s Official Spokesperson.
  • Ambassador Bassam Rady, the Official Spokesperson of the Presidency.
  • Counselor Ahmed Hafez, the Official Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry.
  • Colonel Tamer El Refaie, the Official Spokesperson of the Armed Forces.
