Out of sense of patriotism and national pride, Sada al-Balad English News Website, known widely as SEE News, has launched an initiative to spread good and positive news as the need for positivity becomes even more critical.

The SEE News initiative is entitled “Be Positive”, calling for alleviation of the state of fear and panic that some Egyptian citizens have been suffering from after discovering the first infection case of the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19 pandemic.

On its part, Egyptian Health Ministry urged citizens who have fears for the novel coronavirus to head to al-Abbasiya hospital to receive a psychological session for only one Egyptian pound.

On Monday, the health ministry revealed that 488 coronavirus cases have recovered.

To be more precise, the number of coronavirus patients who have tested negative for the virus has reached 622 after receiving medical treatment upon the World Health Organization (WHO) standards.

Dozens of celebrities and public figures have taken part in the Be Positive initiative, urging citizens not to trace every tiny negative piece of news, but look for positivity, which is a must now.

If negativity dominates the society, then the citizens have to be treated physically and psychologically too. Hence, the situation will be not good at all.

Say no to the coronaphobia and be positive by spreading the good news about the number of recoveries everyday instead of focusing on only numbers of new infections and fatalities.

The term "coronaphobia" describes the fear of contracting COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
