Egypt’s House of Representatives is expected to vote on amending twelve articles and adding new two articles to the Constitution of the State on April 14 or 15. Egypt's Constitutional Amendments 2019 will be a big event for all Egyptians politically.

SEE presents a brief account on the fourteen articles before and after the amendment to its readers before going to a referendum by the end of the ongoing April.

The current Constitution of Egypt was approved in 2014.

Each judicial body or organization shall manage its own affairs, and shall have an independent budget, the components of which shall be fully examined by the House of Representatives. Upon its approval, this budget shall be included in the State budget under one budget line. Each judicial body or organization shall be consulted with regards to the bills regulating its affairs.

The President of the Republic assigns heads of judicial bodies and institutions. A Supreme Council of Judicial Institutions, chaired by the President of the Republic or the Minister of Justice in case of the President’s absence, will be formed and observe the judicial entities’ affairs.

The Prosecutor General shall be in charge of the Public Prosecution. He shall be chosen by the Supreme Council of the Judiciary from among those ranked as Vice presidents of the Court of Cassation, or from those ranked as Presidents of the Courts of Appeal or from the Assistants to the Prosecutor General.
