German's Schalke sporting club sacked on Sunday the Swiss coach Christian Gross and other officials, following the club's hamulating 5-1 defeat to Stuttgart on Saturday.

This is their second consecutive defeat after losing the last week's derby against Borussia Dortmund with four unanswered goals, as there are reports claimed that Schalke's players filed a request to the management with an overwhelming necessity of removing the Swiss coach from his post.

Gross took the charge of the German club last December.

The German club's management decided to appoint Peter Knabel as the football's director, but they have not settled on the new boss.

Schalke are now at the bottom of the Bundesliga's table with nine points from twenty three matches as they only won one match since the beginning of the ongoing season.

It is worth mentioning that Gross, 66, is the fourth coach to lead the German club this season after David Wagner, Manuel Baum and interim coach Hope Stephens.
