Saudi women are celebrating today one year since they were finally allowed to drive for the first time. They documented the day by posting videos of themselves driving on social media.

Last September was a historic moment for them after King Salman decided to lift the ban on women driving.

The kingdom passed a law against sexual harassment with up to five years in prison in order to protect women drivers.

They used to depend on their fathers, brothers or husbands every time they need to go somewhere.

However, now they can easily go to their work, lift their children from schools as well as helping their family in case of emergencies.

After this declaration, automobile companies in Saudi Arabia had an obvious turn out.

Some agencies opened a car fair for women only where only female employees are hired to help customers.
