On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir hit out at Iran’s claims over the Kingdom's involvement in the recent killing its top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

“It appears that despair has pushed Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to blame the kingdom and accuse it of being the cause for what is taking place in Iran,” al-Jubeir tweeted.

He added that Saudi Arabia has denied any such meeting took place, adding, "if an earthquake or a flood hit Iran, the kingdom will be accused of causing it too!”

The Saudi top diplomat confirmed that Saudi Arabia is completely against assassination in any manner, unlike the Iranian regime which is built on assassinations around the world since 1979.

Al-Jubeir’s comments came in response to Iran's foreign minister Zarif's statements that Saudi Arabia is involved in the assassination of Iran’s top nuclear scientist last week.
