An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that it was decided to lift the precautionary measures related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as of today.

The official Saudi “SPA” agency quoted the source as saying that “the application of distancing measures has been stopped in all places (closed and open), activities and events, and not a requirement to wear a face mask in open places, while continuing to be obligated to wear it in closed places.”

It was also decided to “stop the application of social distancing measures in the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, mosques and mosques, while continuing to obligate the wearing of a face mask  in them.”

Among the decisions also “not require the submission of a negative result for an approved PCR test or for an approved Rapid Antigen Test before coming to the Kingdom.”

It was also decided to “cancel the application of institutional quarantine and home quarantine for the purpose of combating the pandemic on those coming to the Kingdom.”

As for visit visas of all kinds, insurance is required to cover the costs of treatment from infection with coronavirus during the period of stay in the Kingdom.

The source stressed the importance of continuing to complete the implementation of the national plan for immunization, including taking the (third) booster dose.
