The Arab Coalition announced on Saturday that it has intercepted an attack by the Yemeni "Ansar Allah" group on Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel quoted the coalition’s statement that its forces destroyed a drone launched by the Houthis towards the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait, southwest of the kingdom.

The official spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen, Brigadier General Turki al-Malki announced on Friday, the destruction of a bombed plane launched by the "Ansar Allah" group towards the Kingdom.

Al-Maliki said: “Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this morning (Friday) a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in (Khamis Mushait).”

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has led the Arab coalition, which has been launching intensive military operations in Yemen, in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government, which is fighting the "Ansar Allah" group supported by Iran.
