Sassi Tests Negative for Coronavirus

Zamalek's midfielder Ferjani Sassi announced on Monday that he tested negative for coronavirus, after he contracted the respiratory disease last week.

The Tunisian international was ruled out of the White Knights' CAF Champions League  semi-finals clash against Raja in the first leg in Casablanca, where the CAF's Super Cup champions secured a 1-0 victory.

"Thanks God, the result of my recent coronavirus swab came negative," Sassi wrote on his official Twitter page.

Zamalek are set to host the Green Devils in the second tie on Saturday at Cairo International Stadium.

It is worth mentioning that Zamalek players on Sunday supported their teammate the Tunisian midfielder, after securing a 1-0 win over Raja in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

In a video went viral on social media, Zamalek's players appeared greeting the Tunisian International to support him after he contracted coronavirus, and was ruled out of the clash.
