Samira Said, Ziad Bourji Performs Marvelous Concert at Cairo Opera House

As a part of the Arab Music Festival, Moroccan mega singer, Samira Said gave a live concert at Fountain Theater located at the Cairo Opera House on Oct. 2.

Ziad Bourji who is a renowned Lebanon's singer performed first on stage, then came Said who started the party with her famous song “Helw Hobak”. The well-known star also sang many other songs including: including “Hawa Hawa”, “Muhsalesh Haja”, “Mon Cheri”, “For Your Knowledge You”, “Superman”, “Ah I Love You”, “Wahashni Sahih” and “Eh Saharni”.

The so-called Diva and Bourji also expressed words of praise and admiration for Egypt’s Ministry of Culture's excellent leadership and initiative in organizing this timely and significant music ceremony, paying tribute to the work of the representatives of the festival ensuring the implementation of Arab unity commitments.

In the same context, Said commemorated Gamal Salama's legacy, who had shaped Egyptian music scene's meanders and tastes, and collaborated closely with her for years.

“I'd like to dedicate my songs and this year’s special edition of the Arab Music Festival to the late musician Gamal Salama,” the renowned singer said.

Said artistic career is remarkable on many levels. The Deiva is notable in his ongoing quest to harness the power of the new musical tools, which he’s always looked to find new and better ways to connect with his fans.

Later, a young Coral and the youth of Egypt's Institution for the promotion of culture and the development of children's talents performed at 7:00 pm CLT a selection of classical Arabian songs, accompanied by renowned music instructors such as AbdelWahab Elsayed, Dr. Mohamed Abdelstar alongside Mohamed Abdal Star.
