Veteran Egyptian actress Samira Ahmed will make a comeback to the small screen after 12 years of absence.
The veteran actress is currently preparing for a new TV series, titled "Roh Baba" (Dad's precious girl), which she plans to participate in during the Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.
The series is scripted by the actress' daughter, visual artist Jalila Nawar, and marks her writing debut.
"Roh Baba" is a social genre that revolves around the current generation and the situations their parents deal with.
The veteran actress was last seen in the 2010 TV series "Mama Fi Alqaism" (Mum at The Police Station).
The plot revolved around a man's attempts to restore the good relations between a mother and her children, after years of non-communication.
It also highlighted a number of society's problems in a satirical way.
The series also featured late stars Omar El Hariri, Khayria Ahmed, and Mahmoud Yassin, as well as Rania Farid Shawky, Yasser Galal, Ahmed Fahmi, Ahmed Wafik, Mirhan Hussein, Ayman Azb, Osama Abbas, Abdel Basset Hamouda, Diaa El-Merghani, and others.
It was written by Youssef Maaty and directed by Rabab Hussein.
