The Atlantic newspaper claimed on Wednesday that the future of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is unclear because of his lawyer Rami Abbas.

Mo's contract at Anfield will expire in June 2023, but the Reds have not begun the talks with the Egyptian star to renew his contract.

The American newspaper said that Mo's lawyer put Liverpool's management under pressure during the last period, especially after his latest tweet following Salah's replacement against Chelsea in the Premier League.

Abass sees that the iconic Egyptian star deserves to extend his contract, especially since he is approaching the age of 29, and therefore, he is exerting strong pressure on Liverpool to increase his salary.

According to the newspaper,  Liverpool have no interest in renewing the Egyptian star's contract because of his age.
