Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been called up, alongside five other players, for the Egyptian National Team's upcoming camp for this month's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Salah is among six foreign-based players selected by coach Hossam El Badry to play against Kenya and Comoros on March 25 and March 29 respectively.

The news comes just days after Jurgen Klopp said he would prevent Liverpool’s international players from travelling to World Cup qualifiers as he insisted a 10-day quarantine upon return was not possible.

Who has been called up?

Alongside Salah, two more Premier League players have also been called to join the Pharaohs later this month.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny and Aston Villa's Mahmoud Trezeguet will also join the Reds striker in the travelling party.

Olympiacos striker Ahmed Hassan Kouka, Al-Ittihad centre-back Ahmed Hegazi and new Galatasaray signing Mostafa Mohamed are the others among the foreign-based contingent.

These news will lead to a possible clash between Liverpool and Egypt, especially in the current circumstance concerning the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
