Sahar Nasr witnesses the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the International Labor Organization and the National Bank of Kuwait

Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of 100 Biofuel Units in Minya Governorate, Technical Support from the Project "Adequate Jobs for Youth of Egypt" funded by the Government of Canada, in the presence of Major General Essam Al-Badawi, Governor of Minya, Dr. Gamal El-Din El-Magd, President of Menia University; Ambassador Jess Dutton, Ambassador of Canada to Cairo; Decent jobs for young Egyptians and representatives of the Ministry Man power.

Under the memorandum of understanding, NBK will support the sustainable social and economic development of rural communities in Egypt through financial support to five start-up companies to facilitate the construction and operation of 100 domestic units for the production of biogas in Minya villages. The initiative aims to support bioenergy technology to help achieve sustainable social and economic development of rural communities by training young engineers and engineers to build and maintain biogas production units, as well as to install biogas units to generate vital biomass energy. The minister pointed out that this project is one of the most important projects that give the ministry priority because it provides job opportunities for young people, pointing out that in cooperation with the International Labor Organization has upgraded the ranking of Egypt in international indicators, To provide the best services to investors, small investors and companies in the province.

The minister said that the ministry is keen to support the youth, especially through funding or grants obtained by the ministry.

Major General Essam al-Badawi, governor of Minya, said that the ILO has submitted several projects to the province during the last period, including this project and was approved, in advance of thanks to the Minister for her support to Minya governorate.

Peter Goe, Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO), praised the efforts of the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, pointing out that the provision of jobs for young people is one of the means that contribute to increasing economic growth in Egypt.

The ILO was working with the public and private sectors to provide jobs for young people by supporting green, green jobs.

Dr. Gamal El-Din El-Magd, President of Minia University, said that the university provides technical and scientific support to the youth who are carrying out the biogas project, noting that within one and a half months, 100 units of bio-gas fermentation will be established in Minya.
