Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone call, on Monday with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
On Tuesday, A statement issued by the ministry said that during the call they discussed issues vital for the future development of traditionally friendly Russian-Kuwaiti relations, including strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The statement followed up by saying Lavrov told Nasser Al-Sabah about the development of the situation in Ukraine in light of the conduct of the Russian military operation and the progress of peace negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities.
Lavrov noted that ensuring the safety of the civilians is an absolute priority for Russia during the implementation of the tasks of disarmament and liberation of Ukraine from Nazism.
