Russian Amb.: Trade Exchange bet. Cairo, Moscow '$3.5 Bln' from Jan. to Sept.

Russian Ambassador in Cairo Georgiy Borisenko said that economic and trade relations between Cairo and Moscow had recovered after being affected last year by the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, noting that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in the period from January to September 2021 amounted to about 3.5 billion dollars.

During a press conference held on Sunday afternoon, the ambassador talked via videoconferencing, about cooperation between Egypt and Russia in many fields, most notably the field of vaccine manufacturing, as Minapharm will manufacture 40 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, to be provided to Egyptians and Africans.

The press conference Aimed to discuss the harvest of Egyptian-Russian relations in 2021, and to talk about trade and economic cooperation between Cairo and Moscow, and the Russian position towards major international and regional issues.
