Dmitry Berishevsky, the Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation in the Russian Foreign Ministry said the Western sanctions did not destroy the Russian economy.
Berishevsky noted that the representatives of the Russian business are searching for a way out of the situation created by Western sanctions against Moscow, and finding ways to allow them to trade with foreign partners.
He added, “In conditions of such a serious confrontation with the West, our forms of cooperation with the countries of Latin America, the Middle East, and North Africa are naturally changing in order to effectively adapt to these constraints.”
“There is always a way out of the situation, no matter how partners in the West think it allows them to stifle the Russian economy or limit our relations with those who want to cooperate with us.”
The diplomat pointed out that Russian business representatives work independently and by their own means, finding ways to transport goods to the required destination.
