The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, Saturday, that its forces had taken control of Pisky village, located on the outskirts of Donetsk region in Ukraine.
In a statement, the ministry also added that Russian forces had destroyed a missile battery of the HIMARS system supplied by the United States to Ukraine near Ukraine’s Kramatorsk region.
On his part, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kirilenko announced that five civilians were killed, 35 others were wounded, as russia boombed the area during the past 24 hours.
“On August 12, the Russians killed five civilians in the Donetsk region and injured 35 others,” Kirilenko wrote in a Facebook post, which was reported by the Ukrainian (Ukrainform) news agency.
Moreover, Kirilenko pointed out that it is currently impossible to determine the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovaka, adding that Russian forces have killed 728 civilians and injured 1,880 others in the Donetsk region, since the start of the military operation on February 24,
