Multiple sources have recently reported that Turky Al-Sheikh the head of The General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia has finally finalized purchasing "El-Asyouty" Egyptian club and will be renaming it "Pyramids FC". Rumors have also circulated that Al-Sheikh wants former Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry as chairman for the new purchased club.

Al-Sheikh previously had plans plans to transform the club from a little unknown club in Egypt to an African giant like El-Ahly and El-Zamalek, through excessive funding and the purchase of highly classed players.
