Egypt's new head coach Rui Vitória said on Tuesday that he is monitoring everything related to the Egyptian football, confirming that he phoned Liverpool star and Egyptian national team skipper Mohamed Salah.
During an interview with media office of Egyptian Football Association, he said that member of the EFA's board of directors Hazem Emam contacted me since a month ago .
"Everything was clear from the beginning. We have understood each other thus I took my decision to take the leadership of the Pharaohs," Vitória said.
"During my coaching to some clubs, I have never signed a four-year contract with any club, but I worked for some clubs for four years. When I handed the Egyptian offer, I understood my goals and I was so excited to start the job," the Portuguese coach added.
" I am working with my assistant on monitoring everything related to the Egyptian football. We are focusing now on monitoring the Egyptian League as well as, the players, who are playing outside Egypt."
"I phoned Mohamed Salah, who are one of the best players in the world. I'd like to thank him on his welcoming message," he concluded.
