It seems that Donald Trump's political work is so adorable that he clings to it even after losing the US presidential election and leaving the White House.

The outgoing president leaves the White House, on Wednesday, to pave the way for his successor, Joe Biden, who will be officially inaugurated as President of the United States later this day.

According to US press reports, Trump, a billionaire who has worked for decades in the real estate business, will not leave the political arena, according to a report published by Sky News Arabia.

The Wall Street Journal revealed that Trump is preparing to form a new political party following departing the White House, after disagreements with the leaders of his Republican Party.

The source said that Trump "spoke in the last days of his term with his aides and those close to him, about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, in an attempt to exert continuous influence after losing the presidency."

The newspaper stated that Trump intends to name his new political party the "Patriot Party."

This move comes against a backdrop of rifts in the Republican Party following the events of January 6 when Trump supporters stormed the Congress building, an incident that shook the image of the United States as the largest democracy in the world.

In his final days as president, Trump feuded with several Republican leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who criticized the events in Congress.

On Tuesday, McConnell said that the outgoing president "deserves the blame for sparking the January 6 Capitol riots," which killed five people and injured hundreds.

On the other hand, opinion polls show that the outgoing president maintains strong support among Republican voters, yet forming a new party requires a major investment of time and resources.

Despite losing to Biden in the presidential elections last November, Trump succeeded in collecting the votes of more than 70 million US voters.
