Saudi Arabia and Qatar are on a verge of a preliminary deal to end a 3-year lengthy rift between them, brokered by the Trump administration, according to "Bloomberg'.

The American website added that the deal does not include the three other Arab countries which cut diplomatic and trade relations with Qatar (Egypt, UAE, and Bahrain).

The rapprochement between Riyadh and Doha will likely include "re-opening the airspace and land borders and ending the media war", and other confidence-building steps within a detailed plan to gradually restore ties.

On the other hand, "Al-Ghad" TV channel, reported that a Gulf summit is scheduled to be held in Riyadh soon, in the presence of Qatar Emir Tamim Bin Hamad, adding that the expected reconciliation will be based on the 2014 agreement singed among members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain have imposed an air, sea, and land embargo on Qatar since June 2017, accusing it of supporting terrorist organizations.
