On Tuesday, media reports claimed that AC Milan's Sporting Director Antonio D’Ottavio departed the team after disagreements with the club's advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Milan until now didn't issue any official statement on this issue, but various Italian media reports suggested that D’Ottavio agreed to leave his position as sporting director.
D’Ottavio was part of Milan's administration team since 2017. He was the head of scouting before moving to the role of sporting director.
He was described as Geoffrey Moncada’s right-hand man.
According to the media reports, D’Ottavio and Ibrahimovic had several disagreements over plans for the first team, Milan Futuro and the Rossoneri youth teams.
Calciomercato.com said that Ibrahimovic, and technical director Moncada will keep their roles and will continue as the ‘backbone’ of the club’s senior management structure.
Jovan Kirovski will remain in charge of the Futuro set-up as technical director.
However, Rossoneri are still waiting for D’Ottavio successor. This is a long list of candidates including Dario Audasio and Roberto Carrario.
