Report: Saint-Etienne Close to Signing Zamalek’s Mostafa Mohamed

Press reports revealed that the French club AS Saint-Etienne is getting very close to signing the Zamalek striker Mostafa Mohamed, in the current transfer window.

"Saint-Etienne is close to reaching an agreement to sign Mostafa Mohamed," Nabil Djellit, a journalist working for the French magazine France Football, wrote on Twitter early on Wednesday.

He added: "The final value of the deal has not yet been determined. Zamalek asked for six million euros to release their striker, that they initially did not want to sell,"

"The player's desire to play in the French league with Saint-Etienne pushed the deal forward." he concluded.

Essam Salem, the official Zamalek SC spokesman, said that the White Knights agreed to Mostafa Mohamed's professionalism in exchange for $6Mln, with other additions related to the number of goals he scores and a percentage of any future resale.

Mostafa Mohamed has also received a Turkish offer during the current period, in addition to the French offer which is considered the most serious offer to obtain the player's services.
