On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia's national football coach Hervé Renard, officially, resigned as the team's coach, the French manager announced on Twitter.

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) said: “A legal settlement has been reached to end the contract between the two parties. The President and Board of Directors of SAFF wish for Mr. Renard every success in his future career."

On his side, Renard said: “I would like to thank everybody in Saudi for their support during almost four years,” Renard told reporters after a 2-1 defeat to Bolivia on Tuesday.

“I think I did the maximum with the team. I can’t reach another level so I prefer to be honest with everybody. Thank you again it was fantastic time.”

Renard was one of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar stars after defeating Argentina 2-1 in the first round of the FIFA World Cup's group stage.

It was reported that he left the Saudi team to take over the French Women's team ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup.
